The Brief

We were tasked with creating three animations for Peg's Enamel Shield+ Toothpaste. These were to be used as part of a larger infomercial for social media promoting the toothpaste and explaining the main benefit of Enamel Shield+, how it remineralises the tooth enamel.

This project involved perfectly modelling the toothpaste tube with correct dimensions and with the packaging design looking pixel perfect and rendering to photorealistic quality.


Creative Concept

The most challenging part of this project was the enamel visualisation. We wanted this to feel premium and unique, steering away from a literal tooth that is customary in dental care product visuals.

We came up with a 'liquid pearl' concept, using a fluid-style simulation and a custom pearl material inside Blender3D to create a mesmerising, rememberable and effective visual that clearly shows how the toothpaste gets to work fixing the decayed tooth enamel.

By using the 'liquid pearl' concept, we kept visuals looking high-end and positive, whilst clearly demonstrating the product.


Delivery

We delivered multiple versions of animation to give the client full flexibility and choice, as well as providing a custom colour grade in After Effects for the final polish. These arrived to the client as MP4s, pre-optimised for social media in 9:16 ratio.

This was the perfect use case for 3D work. By creating custom 3D assets, we were able to elevate Peg's social media content to help inform customers and promote the key benefits of Enamel Shield+.
